Author's note

Mark making can be a very effective technique for designers to produce any kind or variety of patterns and textures. This particular typeface is called Deadly based on the shape and texture of the characters and how they work together with certain words. By changing the colour, size and background, it may be possible to change the personality of the type. Pink letters on a white background may produce a different meaning to red on black which might possibly be used to advertise a horror movie or a heavy metal band.
